The Antarctic
Mar 29th, 2009 by Shreesh
Steering through icebergs and observing comical penguins. (Map this!)
Although Penguins figure largely in the Antarctic experience, the continent is so much more. First off there is the stomach churning Drake Passage, a powerful if less than pleasant experience. Then there is the hauntingly beautiful landscape, locked in ice.
The re-enforced ship ‘Antarctic Dream’ was our home for ten days and we were treated with the utmost graciousness while aboard. Captain Ernesto Barria kindly answered all our questions and the crew made every effort to comply with all our special requests. I would highly recommend this cruise and the ship to any future Antarctic traveler!
